Welcome to Dieter's First Open — a casual, friendly tournament open to all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or picking up the paddle for the first time in a match context, this is the place for you. Matches are played in a relaxed atmosphere with fair seeding based on TrueSkill ratings. 1. Eligibility • Open to all registered players on haoqiu.me • No minimum rating requirement 2. Format • Group stage: Round-robin within groups, best of 3 (first to 11) • Knockout rounds: Best of 5 (first to 11) • Final: Best of 7 (first to 11) 3. Equipment • Players must supply their own racket • Match balls provided by the organiser (3-star 40+) • Rackets are subject to inspection — maximum 4 mm sponge thickness 4. Fair Play • All results must be confirmed by both players through the app • Disputed results escalate to the tournament director • Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification 5. Schedule • Check-in closes 20 minutes before your first match • No-shows after 10 minutes forfeit the game
